National board notes

• The program requires passage of the Integrated National Board Dental Examination (INBDE), preferably taken within the last five years. Passage of the INBDE is mandatory with passing scores submitted at time of application.

TOEFL instructions

• All applicants to the UNE CDM must be able to understand, communicate and read English to be admitted to the DMD AST. Applicants must demonstrate English Language Proficiency at the time of application as required by UNE: https://www.une.edu/admissions/intl/english-language-proficiency. Please note the criteria specific to UNE Graduate Programs.

Letters of evaluation

• A minimum of three (3) letters of evaluation are required from
• each
• of the following sources
• , and must be submitted via ADEA CAAPID:
• Two (2) letters of recommendation from administrators from applicant’s dental school and/or faculty members from applicant’s dental school.
• (Note that it is recommended at least one letter of recommendation be from an individual who can speak to the applicant’s clinical skills.)
• One (1) professional or academic reference who can attest to the applicant’s character, conduct and professional ability, if applicable
• Letters of recommendation must be written in English or translated by a certified U.S. translator at the applicant’s expense, and must include evaluator’s current contact details and signature (or at least a signature block.) Letters of recommendation dated within 2 years strongly preferred.
