The Internationally-Educated Dentists Program at the University of Florida College of Dentistry (UFCD) is a four-year program that leads to a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree and is designed for internationally educated dentists. This program, when successfully completed, allows internationally educated dentists the opportunity to apply for licensure to practice dentistry in any state in the United States. Florida residents have priority in admission to this program. To be eligible for admission, you must be a U.S. citizen or have a permanent resident (green card holder) with proof of status. A temporary resident (green card holder) will NOT be eligible. Participants will join the first-year predoctoral (DMD) class at the time of matriculation and progress with the class through the four years of curriculum. Up to two students may be accepted into this program each year.

- Please note that TOEFL scores expire after two years. For the 2026-2027 application cycle, TOEFL scores must be from July 1, 2025 or later. For the TOEFL, scores must be from the same test date (the “MyBest Scores” are not accepted or considered). The TOEFL ITP is not accepted for admissions purposes.
