National board notes
- Applicants must pass the INBDE exam. Applicants who have passed NBDE Part I & II may be considered.
- The INBDE score report must be reported directly from the ADA to ADEA CAAPID.
TOEFL instructions
- All applicants must be proficient in the English language and are required to take the TOEFL iBT exam. The TOEFL exam will not be waived.
- The new required TOEFL Score Scale is 5; if you score below a 5, you are required to retake the exam. (100 in the old score scale)
- We do not accept the "MyBest Scores" results.
- We accept the TOEFL iBT Special Home Edition exam.
- If the TOEFL exam was taken before January 2025, it must be retaken before the June 1st deadline. Please make sure that the updated results are received before June 1st.
Letters of evaluation
- The program requires three (3) letters of evaluation. One (1) letter of evaluation from your dental school dean, and two (2) letters of evaluation from dental school faculty members.
- All letters of evaluation must be sent directly to ADEA CAAPID.
This program does not publish a tuition figure in the CAAPID directory, and we refuse to print a guess next to a number as consequential as this one. Tuition, instrument kits, fees and living costs in New York change every cycle.
